Douglas County’s eluding cops law prohibits drivers from trying to dodge police. CRS 42-4-1413 defines eluding or attempting to elude law enforcement throughout Colorado. You commit this traffic offense in Castle Rock, Castle Pines, or Lone Tree if:
- police in a marked vehicle signal you to pull over,
- AND you intentionally try to ditch them by speeding, turning your lights off, or any other method meant to evade
